CMO Funds Explained
General Funds:
All funds contributed to the CMO General Fund is used to cover operational and ministry expenses. These include Missionary Salaries, Travel, Communications and other administrative expenses in addition to funding the various ministries in Thailand.
FORGE Family Life Ministry (Forging Strong Families for Church and Ministry)
This is a new ministry started by David A. and Sharon Filbeck to strengthen familes in ministry, church, and community. Through this ministry David and Sharon will lead Asian Christians on a journey to discover and understand God's plan for Family and Marriage and develop ways to apply that plan successfully in their particular cultural context. This ministry is completely self-funded from designated funds. Your contribution to FORGE will ensure those in ministry are given the encouragement and resources to stay the course and continue serving.
Lanna Theological Center General Fund :
Lanna Theological Center's annual budget is $78,000. Your contribution to this fund enables LTC to offer low-cost tuition to students. You may designate your gift to one of three funding programs:
1. The LTC General Fund: The annual budget for LTC is $78,000.
2. Next Step Scholarship Program. The tuition cost per student per year is $500. Approximately half of the students do not
have any help to attend LTC. This program provides the necessary scholarships for those students who come from poor and
at-risk backgrounds.
3. LTC Endowment Program (Impact Asia Foundation) A new Endowment program has been established for the future
sustainability of LTC beyond the Filbeck's. IAF is a separate 501 c3 foundation and all donated funds are put into long-
term investments managed by TD Ameritrade and a Board of Directors. IAF seeks to raise up a significant endowment that
will help to alleviate the necessity of the next generation of Thai leaders to manage maintaining a large donor base. Your
contribution to IAF is a perfect way to sustain the legacy of your giving and its impact in the future.
David Lee Filbeck Legacy Fund
The David Lee Filbeck Legacy Fund exists to celebrate the life and service of pioneer missionary Dr. David L. Filbeck who served among the Lua people from 1960 until his retirement in 2016. The Lua people were David’s passion in ministry and service. This fund seeks to honor this legacy of service by providing funding for Christian outreach and community development among the Lua People of North Thailand and Laos. Through this fund the Filbeck family strives to continue to serve the Lua people through programs that will lift them out of poverty and lead the Lua church to self sufficiency. Your generous donation will help support three graduates of LTC who have committed to returning to their people. 2020 budget needs: $9,000
